Change of Season

As my kids have gotten older and begun school I really cherish the time I have with them during the summer. The freedom to do what we want on seemingly endless summer days. Times full of swimming, biking, picnics and playing on the beach with friends. Although I really love Fall, I was sad to see the days become more structured and worry about connecting with my kids when most of their day is spent at school. Now that Fall has really hit Washington State I am reminded of how nice it is to be together as a family at night snuggled up reading a story and talking about our days. For all the going and doing Summer represents in our family, Fall brings us a balance of slowing down and enjoying the little events that make raising children so wonderful. Summers long days are now replaced by eternal evenings of Fall. Nights where our only concerns are each other and the outside world disappears in the darkness.

The whole idea behind tinytongs was to solve a parenting problem in a simple, yet stylish manner. I know all too well how crazy things can get; we have 3 children ages 7, 5 & 3. Don’t we all just want to focus most of our energy on the great moments of parenting and find as many solutions as possible to deal with the more difficult parts?

I am always searching for ways to help things run more smoothly and will be gladly passing them on to you in our blog.

I’d also love to hear from you and what concerns you have, or solutions you’ve found to make peace in your house so feel free to reach out and write to me.
